With the DG505 currently away at Portmoak with our Duty Instructor, Mark Courtney and Steve Westlake kindly stepped in to cover instructing duties for the day.
There was a full clubhouse for the 9:15am briefing with a long two-seater flying list ahead! Flying started at 10:05am, after Sally was given a quick training session on the new launching system. There were 15 names to get through and four First Flights for our IFP Dan Hender, so it was going to be a busy day.

Congratulations to Richard Lean for converting to LS4.

Our DLM John Allan had the airfield organised throughout the morning, with Sir Chris Coville taking over for the afternoon, both doing a great job keeping a slow day flowing. It was slow going through the two-seater list, so flights were reduced to two each. Fortunately, JB arrived on the airfield just after lunch and stepped in to help instruct. So with all hands to the pump, we worked through the list and by 5:40pm everyone had flown. A challenging day, but thanks to everyone who stepped in, helped and stayed until the end to pack away. – Sally Hender
