Group Evenings

Group evenings are a brilliant way for a group of friends, work colleagues, social or youth groups to get together for an evening in the summer.

You will experience the thrill of flying a glider and getting a unique view of the Devon countryside.

We ask for a minimum of 10 people wishing to fly as part of a group, but often friends and family also come along to watch and sometimes end up having a flight themselves! The evenings start at about 5.30-6.00pm and flying carries on until everyone has flown, or it gets too dark to fly.

Whether launched by winch or being towed into the sky behind our EuroFox tug aircraft, with a qualified instructor at the controls of the glider you will be in the air for up to 15 minutes – but please note that flight times can be shorter than this depending on the weather conditions.

We offer groups discounted rates as follows:-

• Adult: £40 for a winch launch and £95 for a 1500 foot aerotow
• Junior (under the age of 16): £25 for a winch launch and £95 for a 1500’ aerotow

As with our First Flights, there are some restrictions as to who can fly, and these can be found on our “Who can Glide?” page

Group evenings normally run from around Easter to mid September
