A Sunny day was forecast, although less chance of soaring meant the flying list was more manageable, but still with a fairly full clubhouse for the briefing. Duty Instructor, John Pursey set the airfield up at the west end.

Numerous check and currency flights were required, which meant lots of walking for the instructors! Interspersed with training, a busy day was predicted. Numerous instructors stepped in to assist with flying, with Mark Courtney, Simon Leeson, Martin Woolner, John Burrow, James Flory and Dan Hayday all helping out.

After lunch the flights started to increase in length, John Pursey setting the bar at 41mins with Karen King, other pilots then taking up the challenge, Paul Summers achieving 56mins (before having to be called back) then Rob Hender and Josh Howlett both being called down in the Juniors, after 82mins.

Flying continued until 4pm when we started hangar landing the gliders. The last flight was taken at 4:26pm with everything packed away by 5:20pm. Another glorious day at North Hill. Thanks to everyone who helped.. – Sally Hender
