Saturday 25 April

With the RASP forecast predicting little thermic activity fewer members showed up than expected, But we had a full complement of booked First Flights

After the gliders and vehicles were out of the hangar and DI’d and daily briefing complete, the walk to the westerly end of the airfield was underway.

A few minutes later gliding commenced. Most if not all flights were fairly short circuits in the blue Devon sky.

Everything was running smoothly until KEK got a flat tyre. After managing to reinflate, it was decided that it would be towed back to the hangar for further checking.

At around midday, the wind direction changed from easterly to westerly, so therefore we had to change launch ends. In the afternoon new member Sam took the skies with Steve Westlake in the DG-505.
