After yesterdays work day due to drizzly rain etc, a very nice day was forecast, and a very good turnout of instructors, members and visitors arrived for Guy’s briefing at 9. Everything was out and we kicked off at 10:20 on runway 27.
However, it proved a training day rather than soaring and really only the club fleet were out and about. The two Falke were up and Robert piloted the EuroFox -: thank you.
Two good achievements were made. Arthur Hier was cleared for his First solo by JB, and Ashley Thomas converted to the Perkoz and completed his card check. Excellent! – Well done both.
Jeff Taberham won the race for duration with 1 hour 23 in Mosquito 380, followed by Shaun Dayman, just over an hour. Simon Jordy looked after First Flights, and we finished about five o’clock and packed up as all had flown, the weather still sunny. Now we can look forward to Wednesday. – Jonathan Erskine
