Sunday 22 March

All the ground equipment and gliders were out and ready to go before the 9:15am briefing, which meant with the Launchpoint on the southeast side, set up was a quick process and our first launch was at 9:55am! Duty Instructor Mike Sloggett assisted by James Flory and Pete Smith worked their way down the training list, for the first time in quite a while, there was noone on the list wanting card check flights!

David Hier brought his younger son Stanley for a friends and family flight, who seemed to enjoy his flight (that could become expensive!). The first flight visitor flew with Simon Jordy, a pilot who had previously held a PPL, and may be moving to the area, so could become a member.

Private owners Pete Startup (230) and Simon Minson (SM) took aerotows and soared locally for 115mins and 134 mins respectively.
After lunchbreaks were taken, there was a slight delay when the winch needed a short repair, thank you Rob Hender for resolving the problem. However, flying continued until 4:15pm, when the two-seater list was completed and everyone who wanted to had flown.

Another lovely sunny day (how good is it to be able to write that?👍) at North Hill. Thank you to everyone that mucked in for the day. – Sally Hender
