Wednesday 1 April

The day started off looking a little disappointing with a lowish cloud base, but the wind and other conditions made for a flyable day.

Everything out and ready to go, the briefing took place at 0915 and flying followed soon after. The day started with some circuit bashing and shortish flights. A stop for lunch as Peter Smirh, being the only instructor, needed a break as it was going to be a long day for him.

After lunch, the weather improved and there were some longer flights of up to an hour or so with the ridge working in places. All that wanted to fly, flew and as the temperature stared to get very cold the day drew to a close.

A number of launch failures and card checks were completed along with currency flights on winch and aerotow, everyone present went home happy. Another good successful flying day at DSGC. – Dave Perriam
