With a warning of deteriorating weather later in the day, and potentially on the last leg, a short racing task was set of 178km. However this was changed to Task B (238km) as the conditions looked to be improving.
First launch was at 12:00, with Dan in the 8th row, he started the task at 13:13 and flew until 15:46.

Unfortunately his crew were out and about meeting with a friend for a walk and lunch at Virginia Water, so missed his launch and landing! So no pictures I’m afraid!
Dan reported a flight which was slow, boring, and hard work. Bath was romping, with plenty of gear changes. And there was a big blue gap to finish off the flight. He was pleased to see quite a few other pilots below him, on the last leg, desperately trying to get on final glide, and Dan sailed over the top 😉.
A difficult day, 15 landed out/motored home, one just 2km from the ring!
He finished 10th on the day (devalued again), still 9th overall. – Sally Hender
