Gridding began at 8:30am with a race to the front again, the organisers tried to make it fairer by splitting the grid in to two groups, and having a front and back grid, but some of the competitors seemed to struggle with this concept!

Briefing at 10:00am set a ‘The Central Line’ task, With a list of turn points heading in a line north and south. Launching started at 11:30am, and again JZK (birthday boy Dan, and Rob Hender) going first amongst the North Hill contingent, closely followed by BBB (Chris and JB), DD3 (Gill and Phil Morrison) were in the back section having to wait for their launch.

FWH (Alan Rappaport) took a launch at 2pm, and had a four hour flight.
JZK and BBB initially headed for the sea crossing points at the Humber Bridge, then got a southern turning point and turned to the north making the most of the convergence.

DD3, did theirs in the other direction, going north to Selset reservoir then back south to get the extra bonus points, getting back at 4:15pm.
BBB returned after 7 hours, 401km, JB needing a blanket to warm up! JZK flew 450km (ish) for 6 hours

Fortunately everyone landed back, which meant we all then enjoyed a steak evening meal (beautifully cooked by JP) with chocolate Birthday cake for Dans 21st birthday.

Another fabulous day!- Sally Hender
