Sunday 16 August

With the DG505 away we were left with 2 two-seater club gliders and the Juniors.

With a slow start, we started flying at half 10.Launches were barely getting to 800 feet it was mostly circuits for the morning, however, in the afternoon conditions improved and Ron’s optimistic forecast was proven correct.

A number of private gliders enjoyed local soaring.

At 4 o’clock flying was brought to an end with everyone flown, and the DG505 arriving home with Team Hender.

After the 505 was rigged, the hangar was packed away. Followed by the sweet sound of a Spitfire in the distance and b1 bombers heading to Cornwall.

Overall a fun flying day at North Hill – thanks everyone. – Kai Mudd
