Summer courses
Summer training courses are offered to members and visitors alike and run from May - September. Bookings for 2012 are now open.
Open days
On one weekend each year, the Club opens its doors to members of the public, and offers trial lesson flights without pre-booking, on a first come, first served basis.
The Open weekend in 2011 on Saturday 25th May and Sunday 26th May was a tremendous success with flying on both days. There were 160 trial lessons in total and we have 6 new members. A donation of £250 has been made to the Devon Air Ambulance.
Group evenings
Group evenings are a brilliant way for a group of friends, work colleagues, social or youth group to get together for an evening in the summer and experience the thrill of flying a glider and getting a unique view of the Devon countryside.
We are now taking bookings for group evenings in 2012.
Junior gliding
Devon and Somerset Gliding Club (DSGC) actively encourages young people to take up the sport of gliding, pilot training can start from as young as 14 years.
